Combining forces
ACM approves
The Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) has granted its approval for the merger between Van Rooi and Van Loon Group, subject to the pending approval of two European competition authorities.
In January, Van Rooi and Van Loon Group announced their intention to join forces to achieve sustainable growth. Following an extensive investigation, the ACM has approved the merger between Van Rooi and Van Loon Group.
The transaction can be formally completed once the competition authorities in Belgium and Cyprus have issued their decisions.
Van Rooi and Van Loon Group share a clear vision of acting as a chain director, ensuring high-quality, sustainable, safe, and affordable food. By continuing together, a solid company will be created that is active across all segments of the food chain, from farm to fork. The new organisation will hold a leading position in Retail, Foodservice, and Industry.
